Photography by Retrospect Studios - we took pics down at the Neon Sign Boneyard, at the famous Vegas sign and in front of the hotel we were married at, Mandalay Bay.
Highly recommend this photographer!
We both love to see movies so it became the theme of our wedding plus my husband is Irish so I tied that in too. I designed and handmade (with assistance) our wedding invites. The design on top of our wedding ceremony invites was a double movie reel with an irish love knot in the middle & the film strip forming a subtle heart (which showed when the invite was tied closed) layered with our wedding colors - celedon, eggplant and tangerine.
The inserts were a mini layered reception invite a a simple online RSVP card.
Five to Six months before the Wedding we sent out Save the Date magnets. They had the Vegas sign printed on them with the basic info of date and location. These were a big hit and recommended for destination weddings. We also carried the Vegas sign theme into our wedding while keeping the film theme for our reception.
Carrying the film theme into Vegas we decided to have a mock film poster created staring us for our guest "book" - instead of signing a traditional book that gets put away and never seen again, I wanted something that we could display and we pass this beautiful keepsake everyday!! Our photographer helped bring my idea to life and it turned out better than we all expected.
We were married in our private suite in the Mandalay Bay. We decorated with framed engagement pictures, candles floating on water in vases and Patron bottles filled with tulips to enhance the ambiance of our very intimate ceremony. It was perfect for us and we had guests toss white rose petals at the end of our civil ceremony. Just PERFECT!!
I made our mothers and my bridesmaids necklaces and earrings in the wedding colors to bring a splash of color to their simple black dress attire.
The cake cutting set adorned the Vegas sign carried in from our Save the Date magnet another little detail.
I loved my bouquet - all the flowers were by Dahlia's Flowers
